Vattara tests your lending voice agent before go-live and scores every live call after, against one rulebook.
distress 0-10 over the call · each dot is a caller turn · ◆ main events
One call view. The same scoring runs on a test call and, after go-live, on a live call.
RBI already regulates phone conduct. Calls are limited to 8am to 7pm (August 2022), borrowers must be told who will call (May 2025), and loan terms must be conveyed in a language they understand (a lender was fined in May 2024).
None of these rules were written for voice agents, but all apply. An agent that improvises a settlement or retries at 19:07 does what a human telecaller is disciplined for, on every call, in every branch.
Vendors demo in clean Hindi on a good line. Your borrowers call back in Bhojpuri on a shop speakerphone. And a model update can turn the agent that passed in March into a different agent by April.
One set of rules, scores and kill criteria covers your agent in the lab and on your borrowers' phones.
What this buys you: a synthetic borrower finds the failure, not a real one who files with the Ombudsman.
What this buys you: the test you passed in March stays passed. Monitoring re-checks it on every call.
Same families, same kill criteria, same scoring. That means:
Live failures are re-run against each fix before it ships, so the same error never reaches another borrower. See how Observe closes the loop.
Forty scenarios, nine failure families, ten language variants, four line conditions.
Full corpus run against your agent, scored per call, re-run on every change.
Same families and kill criteria on production calls, scored daily.
Live scores against baseline; kill flags reach collections and compliance within the hour.
The inspection-ready file: scenarios, pass and kill record, live trends, regulatory anchors.
Your agent's pass rate per language and family, published, grey where unrun.
The free six-scenario audit. Pick six from the forty; we run and score them and send the calls within a week.
Priced per agent, not per call, so every call is scored.
RBI penalty on Bajaj Finance, 5 January 2021. RBI cited the company's failure to ensure its recovery agents did not harass or intimidate customers, non-compliance with outsourcing directions and the Fair Practices Code, and persistent complaints about recovery methods. The lender paid, not the caller.

The 2026 NBFC conduct amendments reportedly carry the window into the consolidated rules from 1 January 2027, and make the lender fully responsible for its agents' conduct.

Every fact the agent states is checked against the account, and the turn is cited.
Latency, dead air and error rates, read off the logs against preset targets.
Five independent judges rate tone, commitment and escalation. Dissent is published, never averaged.
CLI series, call window and retries, checked on the wire.
One ruler. It does not change when the agent goes live.
Each criterion is judged pass or fail, with the exact turns cited as evidence.
See where the caller got upset and which agent turn did it.
Set criteria per agent, vendor or organisation, and the pass rate that triggers an alert.
Filter by flagged, failed or passed, with a CLEAR score and ship verdict on each call.
Set a threshold on any metric and route the alert to Slack, email, Jira or Linear.
Human QA verdicts calibrate the judges, so you can see where they run strict or lenient.
Live scoring ships with contact window, disclosure and amount read-back first; tone and third-party detection follow.
Every control is something a security reviewer can check. See the full control list on Observe.

Testing dials your agent like a borrower would. Live scoring reads from your existing call recordings or telephony tap. Neither needs your vendor's cooperation.
One. The same scenario definitions, failure families and kill criteria score your agent in the lab and on live calls. You can start with testing only; the monitoring side switches on against the baseline the tests produced.
No. Every borrower is synthetic, generated from a banking schema with Indian names, languages and loan products. No PII leaves your system because none enters ours.
It scores calls you already record under your own consent and retention policy. We do not add a recording layer.
On Vattara's servers by default. Turn on Zero data retention mode and audio and transcripts are deleted after scoring. Data residency in the country of your choice is available.
Synthetic callers are not data principals. Your agent's transcripts of those calls are test artefacts. For live calls, we process as your processor under a DPA that names the purpose. We will sign one that says so. We are also going through DPDP compliance certification.
Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia and English, the major languages supported by Sarvam.
No. We dial it like a borrower would. If it has a number, we can test it. If it produces recordings, we can monitor it.
Yes, on the telephony layer, in testing and on live calls. The dialer is tested, not only the prompt.
Yes. Our scenarios are the floor. Your collections head's worst twenty calls are the ceiling, and they become monitors too.
Six scenarios of your choice from the forty, run against your agent, scored, with audio, in a week. It is the first slice of the suite.
Connect with a provider key, our SDK or a single recording, and your past calls sync on day one. Every call in those 5,000 minutes is scored, none sampled, and each failure is traced to the layer that caused it: speech recognition, model, voice or telephony. Rule breaches reach you in Slack, email, Jira or Linear, and every failed call becomes a test case your next fix has to pass.
